  Loco 45510.jpg - Number  45510   - LMS Patriot  Class 4-6-0  - Designed by Henry Fowler.  Built Aug 1932 at  Crewe Works  for the LMS Railway.  Photographed on 24th March 1962 with the Leeds to Morecambe passenger. Stacked in front of the signal box are concrete conduits used for putting the electricity cables underground.  ( Photo 1950's)  A total of 52 Patriots were built between 1930 and 1934 at Crewe and Derby; they were designed for express passenger service. It was shedded at Willesden in 1948. Its last shed was Lancaster Green, Ayre.  Withdrawn from service in June 1962 & disposed of in Aug 1962.
